Erik Lutz’s music can be heard in many of the biggest film and television scores in the past few years. Recently, Erik has contributed music to the Netflix Original Series Away and Unbelievable as well as the CW’s Charmed and In The Dark. He has also contributed music to the chilling and action packed Purge franchise, TNT’s The Last Ship, and the AAA video game Days Gone. Erik, a versatile composer in his own right, has scored projects spanning documentaries, horror/thriller, animation, drama, and comedy. Erik’s music can also be heard on many of the biggest television networks including, Discovery, History Channel, BBC, PBS, and HBO.He also contributed commercial music to several companies including; Canada Goose, Chevy, Lincoln, AT&T, Carling, and Dr. Scholl’s.
Lutz has studied music since age three. After years of music instruction in; bassoon, piano, percussion, and music theory, he began to gravitate towards composition.
Erik graduated with a BA in both Music Composition and Bassoon Performance from Florida State University. While at FSU, he scored several student films, participated in a wide range of musical ensembles, and further explored music for media. Upon graduation, Erik relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Film Scoring.
